From applications opening to securing your dream role, we’ve mapped out what to expect and when, so you can feel prepared every step of the way.

What’s in the timeline?

Well… many things. We’ve created this timeline to guide you through your placement, internship or insight day application, ramp up your employability, and give you a step up on the career ladder.

Let’s take a sneak peek of what it all includes…

• September: Applications are open! Most roles go live now, so it’s time to prep your applications. Ready for insider knowledge? Our application tips from industry professionals will help you stand out.

• December to January: Interview invites will start appearing in your inbox. Every company is different, so don’t worry too much if some respond faster than others. It’s hard not to compare your journey to your friends, but you’re exactly where you need to be.

• February to April: Final interviews and assessment centres begin. Feeling those pre-interview nerves? Our interview advice will help you walk in prepared. Haven’t found your work experience yet? That’s okay, plenty of employers are still hiring!

• May to August: YOU’VE SECURED YOUR ROLE. Congratulations. Now it’s time to prepare for your first day. Expect paperwork and sorting out accommodation (if you’re moving cities for your work experience). Make the most of it. We’ve got your back!
