Commercial Graduate

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Graduate based in Lurgan.

Starting Salary: £28,500.00

Location: 37 Annesborough Road, Lurgan, Craigavon, Co Armagh, BT67 9JD

Working hours per week: Monday - Friday 09:00 – 17:00, occasional weekends & nights. 40hrs/week

Start date: September 2026

Amey operates and maintains the (DBFO 2) Project Road comprising sections of the A1, M1, A4, A101 and M12. There are over 125 kilometres (approx. 540 lane kms) of public road. We are responsible for all carriageway and asset inspections, subsequent maintenance and repairs, emergency response and winter maintenance.

What you will do:

  • To assist the Commercial Team in carrying out their normal commercial and contractual duties, in assisting the operational management team as required, in complying with the Amey Values, and in ensuring maximum recovery of all contractual entitlement.
  • Implement commercial processes for cost capture, valuation, procurement and reporting.
  • Submit in a timely manner application for payment and agree accounts the Clients/Contracts.
  • Ensure maximum recovery of all contractual entitlements.
  • Assist in the preparation of commercial reports including monthly Cost Value Reconciliation financial report, cash-flows, budgets and forecasts.
  • Liaise with Operations Teams to ascertain costs and value are correctly coded.
  • Management of Subcontractor accounts in line with agreed subcontract agreement and Amey processes for certification, payment and liability.
  • Manage all aspects of subcontract procurement.
  • Provide commercial support as required / directed.

What you will bring:

  • Minimum 2:2 Quantity surveying, commercial or related profession degree qualification (RICS accredited or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Full UK driving license
  • DBS requirement.
  • Reasonably good verbal communicator who can present arguments and ideas.
  • Can produce reports to a good standard.
  • Passion for developing your skills both professional and personally, Have the enthusiasm to be part of a high performing team and a drive for success.
