We are looking for an enthusiastic eMobility Service Engineering Student to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Accelera Business Segment in Milton Keynes. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!
This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence Summer 2026.
The requirements are to be onsite for at least 3 days per week so you will need to be able to travel or relocate to the location.
External Qualifications and Competencies
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Design, development and production of service tools, creation and validation of service publications and procedures
- Procurement of parts and working with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries of parts for build activities, supporting prototype High Voltage battery builds and teardowns.
- Electrical circuit diagram / schematic creation and utilization.
- Use of PLM (Project Lifecycle Management) for accessing part drawings and 3d models
- Use of CAD (Computer Aided Design) packages for creation of prototype parts, complex assemblies and viewing existing CAD assemblies
- Interpret and understand engineering drawings, data analysis using industry standard tools such as MATLAB.
Additional Responsibilities Unique to this Position
- Studying a STEM degree, preferably studying for a technical degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Keen interest in battery electric vehicles, electrification, batteries and/or engines and must have practical experience (whether hobby, employment or work experience).
- Good MS office skills and communication skills.
- Practical background to any engineering project is a plus
